bdh+young hires Samantha Bartz as designer

bdh+young recently hired Samantha Bartz to join the interior design team. As a designer at bdh+young, Samantha collaborates with her project team to develop design solutions that align with her clients’ goals. She produces schematic and design development documents, selects finish materials and develops design schemes for workplace and housing projects.

Samantha is passionate about creating a positive experience for the end users of a space. She believes that all the pieces of a project—down to the smallest detail—must work well in harmony. Even with the most beautiful finishes, a space can’t reach its full potential, for example, if the lighting is overpowering or the acoustics are poor. Sam challenges herself to think outside the box to develop creative solutions that enhance the end user’s productivity, enjoyment, and overall wellbeing.

Prior to joining bdh+young, Samantha interned at EAPC Architects and Engineers. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in May and is currently affiliated with IIDA as a member of the Student Affairs Committee.

When she’s not at work, Samantha enjoys camping, hiking and capturing moments in time through the lens of a camera.
