why bdh+young rules?
We care about our clients. The projects that we work on are not completed for our own ego, or to build a great portfolio with our end goals in mind. They are thoughtfully designed for our clients to achieve their goals and desires, and to be aesthetically pleasing to them and their clients. At the end of a project, if the client is happy, we are happy.
why design matters?
The environment we live in affects us for the good and bad, regardless of whether we are aware of it or not. Good design brings out the best in all of us by brightening our day, making us feel good, and comforting us when we feel bad. As an informed designer, it’s our job to understand this, and work to make the built environment a positive experience for everyone.

favorite hobby and why?
Spending time with my family biking, canoeing, downhill skiing, and cross-country skiing. We love to spend time together in nature while enjoying our favorite sports.

favorite childhood memory?
Spending summers at our cabin in Upper Michigan. Waking up to the sound of a crackling fire downstairs, and the chickadees outside my window.

when in the kitchen, I’m cooking...
Something healthy while listening to classical music. It helps me wind down after a hard day. Vavaldi’s Four Season’s is my favorite. It reminds me of Italy, Venice in particular.
